Chinese Foreign Ministry calls Biden’s words about Xi Jinping irresponsible

US President Joe Biden’s comments that Chinese President Xi Jinping is a dictator are erroneous and irresponsible. This was stated by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning.
“This statement is extremely untrue and irresponsible. China firmly opposes political manipulation,” she said (quote according to TASS).
On November 15, Biden and Xi held talks on the sidelines of the APEC summit in San Francisco. The American leader called them “one of the most productive” meetings, noting that “important progress” was achieved during the conversation. The White House said Biden and Xi had a “frank and constructive conversation.”
At a press conference following the talks, journalists asked Biden whether he would continue to consider Xi a dictator. “He’s a dictator in the sense that he’s the guy who runs a communist country,” answered President of the U.S.A. He added that the Chinese government is “completely different” from the US.
In June 2023, Biden will already called Si dictator. He said the Chinese leader was “very upset” when a suspected Chinese “spy” balloon was shot off course over US airspace. In response, the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed protest, calling Biden’s statement a “political provocation.”
