Chinese designer Susan Fang will teach you how to fly

One of the most notable fashion events of recent times was the show of the spring-summer 2023 resort collection of young Chinese designer Susan Fang.

The girl launched the name brand in 2017, right after she graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London. She also has practice at the Fashion House Celine and Stella McCartney. Her unique signature technique is a pattern embedded between layers of organza in 3D. And for the first time, experts paid attention to these works last winter, when Susan Fang presented the collection in collaboration with the world famous Spanish brand Zara. And here is a new collaboration: air flip flops created with Australian UGG boots. “I’m not a mathematician at all,” the designer admitted in a recent interview, “And logic is alien to me, but I remember well how I flew in my childhood dreams, and my dresses are created according to this principle. You can fly in them.” And here, really, you can not argue.

Butterflies, which are known to symbolize the love and soul of a person in China, became the symbol of her new resort SS2023 collection. Where, by the way, the girl received her final education as a designer after Washington, where she studied after London. “When I create my models, I remember the feeling of a beautiful summer day in the Caribbean, as I remember it from my student days,” the Chinese artist shares his inspiration.

Flip flops decorated with flowers and butterflies in 3D completely turn the feeling of ridiculous mundane and familiar sheepskin shoes towards airy lightness, transparency and weightlessness. The dresses that Susan Fang presented along with the shoes from her latest collaboration also deserve special attention. A swarm of butterflies and crystal, as if weightless handbags were added to the unique floral arrangements that make up Susan Fang’s dresses. In unison with the collection, the podium was also decorated with 3D flowers.
