China calls on the US, NATO countries and the EU to sit down with Russia at the negotiating table and discuss the creation of a balanced security architecture. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of China to the UN Zhang Jun at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
He noted that the PRC calls on Russia and Ukraine to start peace talks as soon as possible.
“The US, EU and NATO should also sit down with Russia for a comprehensive and in-depth dialogue based on the principles of the indivisibility of security,” Zhang Jun said.
The Chinese envoy added that countries need to discuss how to build a sustainable, efficient and balanced security architecture.
