China and the US are increasingly at odds over balloons

The scandal with the growing number of possibly reconnaissance vehicles in the airspace of the United States, Canada and China is rapidly gaining momentum. The Chinese Foreign Ministry, after several incidents in North America with a Chinese balloon and other UFOs, accused the United States of similar actions. “Illegal entry of US balloons into the airspace of other states is a common occurrence. Since last year alone, American balloons have illegally flown over 10 times in Chinese airspace without the permission of the relevant Chinese authorities,” Wang Wenbin, an agency spokesman, said at a briefing on February 13. He did not provide any other details about these incidents. The White House called this statement a lie.
In addition, Wang expressed the opinion that “it is the United States that is the world’s largest spy power”, recalling the country’s National Security Agency surveillance of high-ranking officials from Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands.
