Chernyshenko called digital government one of the most advanced

The digital government of Russia is one of the most advanced in the world, in terms of digital maturity of public administration it competes with fintech, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said at the Youth Internet Governance Forum.

“Since I oversee digital development in government, I say this with absolute knowledge of the matter, we have one of the most advanced digital governments in the world. And in terms of digital maturity, public administration competes with fintech, which, like banking, is one of the most advanced in all industries in terms of digital maturity,” leads the words of the politician “RIA Novosti”.

In Russia, almost 85% of the population has broadband Internet access, the cost of which is one of the most affordable in the world, the politician said.

Last fall, Minister of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev declaredthat Russia has already achieved digital sovereignty. According to him, those niches that were occupied by foreign solutions will be replaced by domestic products. Shadayev considered that the Russian industry also has potential.

In the summer of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed outthat the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market will allow the country to get rid of the “dangerous and humiliating dependence” on Western technologies.
