Chemezov: Rostec enterprises fulfill state defense orders almost around the clock

The enterprises of the Rostec Corporation involved in the implementation of the state defense order work almost around the clock, in the new year a special work schedule regime will be maintained, Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec, told TASS.

“Today, Rostec enterprises involved in the implementation of the state defense order work almost around the clock, employees demonstrate dedication and are sympathetic to the increased workload. With the advent of the new year, the corporation maintains a special work schedule regime, the teams of defense plants go to work on January 2-3, ” said Chemezov.

The head of the state corporation specified that, in particular, the High Precision Complexes holding, United Aircraft CorporationUnited Engine Corporation, Russian Helicopters, Uralvagonzavod Concern and other enterprises.

The main task of enterprises of the military-industrial complex is to provide units and advanced units with the necessary weapons as soon as possible, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting in Tula at the end of December to meet the needs of the units of the Russian Armed Forces involved in the special operation.

Chemezov earlier in an interview with Vedomosti said that Rostec has been fulfilling almost 100% of the state defense order in recent years. “We ship everything we need, often ahead of schedule. We increase production volumes and reduce delivery times as much as possible. Under a number of contracts, products were delivered ahead of schedule, primarily armored vehicles, helicopters, and ammunition. We accelerated as much as possible, production was transferred to an enhanced mode – in three or four shifts, ”said the head of Rostec.

In early December, the government reported that United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec State Corporation) made and handed over to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation another batch of Su-35S aircraft. The Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, then stated that “the Rostec aviation cluster ensures both the supply of new equipment and the maintenance and restoration of the airworthiness of the existing fleet, promptly responding to requests from the Armed Forces.”

Manturov, in an interview with Vedomosti, spoke about the formation of schedules for the implementation of the state defense order. “For 2023, the schedules are formed by months, for 2024 – quarterly, and for 2025, semi-annual schedules are determined. At the same time, additional needs are emerging: for example, this year the Ministry of Defense has set the task of increasing output by 3 times for some samples, and 10 times for others,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
