The Chechen Republic sent 3,000 elite fighters to defend Moscow during the military uprising, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Chechen state television and radio company Grozny.
It is noted that the fighters since Saturday morning were in position in readiness to fulfill any order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the RF Armed Forces Vladimir Putin. The contingent included fighters from the 94th and 96th operational regiments of the SKO VNG, the Yug battalion, the 141st motorized regiment named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, as well as the Directorate of the Russian Guard in the Chechen Republic.
Earlier it was reported that in connection with the actions of the private military company Wagner, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in Moscow and the Moscow Region. According to the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, the CTO regime will be lifted in the near future.
