Charles III will invite Prince Harry and Meghan to the coronation, settle in Buckingham Palace

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will receive an invitation to the coronation of King Charles III in May, they will be allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace, according to Britain’s The Mail on Sunday.

According to the publication, this should be regarded as a proposal for reconciliation. At the same time, earlier Charles III ordered Harry and Megan’s belongings to be taken out of their Frogmore House cottage, which the media interpreted as a signal of a final break in relations.

Reportedly, Harry and Meghan will have to hand over the keys to their previously occupied house, but they can be offered an apartment in Buckingham Palace, where Prince Andrew was previously located. At the same time, Andrew himself was invited to move Frogmore House – a mansion with 30 rooms.

The Mail on Sunday writes that Harry and Meghan may be offered the opportunity to stay at Buckingham Palace whenever they visit the UK. Other options are St. James’s Palace or even Princess Diana’s apartments at Kensington Palace, which are currently empty and being refurbished.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and his wife left the UK after a conflict with the royal family two years ago. He and his family are being stripped of taxpayer-funded royal protection after stepping down from royal duties in 2020. In March 2021, the couple gave a scandalous interview to Oprah Winfrey, in which they accused relatives of indifference, constant pressure, and even racism. Since then, relations between the couple and the royal court have remained tense. Earlier it was reported that King Charles III of Great Britain forbade his youngest son Prince Harry to visit the dying Queen Elizabeth II with his wife.

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was released on January 10. The book sold a record 400,000 copies in Britain, becoming the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the country, according to Sky News. The autobiography surprised the public with its frankness: in them, Prince Harry spoke about drug use, the murder of 25 people during military service in Afghanistan and a fight with his brother Prince William in 2019. Penguin Random House reported that it sold a total of over 1.43 million English-language copies across all formats on its first day in the US, Canada and the UK.
