King Charles III of Great Britain has banned the youngest son Prince Harry from visiting the dying Queen Elizabeth II with his wife Meghan Markle, the Daily Mail newspaper writes, citing the prince’s memoirs.
Reportedly, this concerned the period when the queen spent the last days of her life in the Scottish castle of Balmoral.
According to the publication, the book says that Charles III explained his demand with “senseless and disrespectful” reasons.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK after a conflict with the royal family two years ago. He and his family are being stripped of taxpayer-funded royal protection after stepping down from royal duties in 2020.
Prince Harry reportedly confessed in his memoir to killing 25 “enemy combatants” while serving in Afghanistan. According to him, in “the height of the battle” he did not perceive opponents as people, but viewed them as “chess pieces that he removed from the board.” He served two terms in Afghanistan and was an Apache gunship gunner on his second mission to Afghanistan in 2012. Prince Harry’s autobiography ‘Spare’ will be released on January 10.
