American fighter jets have arrived in the Middle East. They are needed there “to strengthen the country’s position” in the region. This was stated by the US Central Command (CENTCOM). F15-E Strike Eagle aircraft were sent to the region.

All fighters are assigned to the 494th Expeditionary Squadron. Their task is primarily to “strengthen air operations” in the Middle East. Earlier, the American aircraft carrier Gerald Ford arrived in the region. It will be located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Along with him is an aircraft carrier strike group.

According to the Pentagon, forces are being massed in the region in order to deter third countries from interfering in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. There have been reports in the media that, if necessary, the United States is ready to send another aircraft carrier to the conflict zone.
