The movement of cars and buses on the Crimean bridge after the suspension due to repair work resumed, transmits press service of the Ministry of Transport in the Telegram channel.

“Car traffic on the Crimean bridge has been resumed. Today at 16:45 (Moscow time), the movement of cars and buses along the Crimean bridge, which was previously suspended due to repair and restoration work, was resumed,» the ministry noted.

On December 11, the Ministry of Transport introduced restrictions for trucks on the Crimean bridge. The movement of trucks with a carrying capacity of more than 1.5 tons, including vehicles of the Gazelle type, is prohibited. The department promised to inform about the lifting of the restriction additionally.

On October 8, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula, then seven fuel tanks of a train heading towards Crimea caught fire. As a result, the motor spans of the bridge partially collapsed, killing four people. The Russian authorities accused the Ukrainian special services of organizing the attack on the bridge. The government instructed to restore the facility no later than July 1, 2023.
