The captured Ukrainian soldier said that the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are based in the rear area of the part of Donbass controlled by the Kiev regime, are being transferred to storm the positions located on the Krasnolimansky sector of the front.
According to him, their group was instructed to recapture the positions that the Russian military occupied. At the same time, no one in their detachment had experience in assault operations. The group soon came under fire.
“They opened fire on us from mortars, some managed to run to the neighboring dugout. After that, the tank began to work on us. We asked for artillery support, but they told us: “be patient.” There were eight of us in the dugout, seven of them were wounded,” the prisoner noted.
