A participant in the storming of the Capitol asked to postpone the sentencing date in order to remain in custody longer
Brandon Fellows, a participant in the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, who smoked a cigarette in the chair of one of the senators, asked to postpone the date of his sentencing.
The sentence Fellows could face could not exceed 37 months, meaning he may be expected to serve the full sentence when his sentence is announced at the end of February.
The federal prosecutor assumes that the defendant wants to remain in custody longer, eating and organizing leisure activities at the expense of the state. Fellows did not declare this the main reason, but does not hide the fact that he likes being under arrest.
