In April 2023, the investment plans of industrial companies, according to surveys by the Gaidar Institute, reached an 11-year high. Thus, the trend of expanding the intentions of companies to increase capital investments, which was recorded in March by surveys in many sectors, has continued and developed. Investment plans are fueled by government injections, expectations of demand growth and a shortage of labor and capacity. However, analysts, including the Bank of Russia, are not yet sure that these expectations will turn into a stable trend and lead to the launch of an investment boom in the Russian Federation, which the authorities are counting on.
