Russia, in turn, has repeatedly imposed sanctions against Canadian officials and individuals, banning them from entering the territory of the Russian Federation. At the end of January, the Canadian government reported that since February last year, Canada had allocated military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of more than $1 billion. On February 3, Canadian Minister of National Defense Anita Anand said that she had discussed with her Western colleagues the supply of military equipment to Ukraine, including battle tanks .
