At the same time, the officer recalled that Russia currently has 40 nuclear icebreakers, and in the next 10 years their number will increase by several dozen more. While the USA and Canada have only five units of similar vessels, and the same number are planned to be built collectively.
“Plus, Russia is demonstrating the incredible capabilities of weapons; the whole world can see the results of their use in the Northwestern Military District zone in Ukraine. Against the backdrop of tense relations between the West and Moscow, all this keeps us awake at night,” Frawley said.
