Canadian Defense Minister Blair: Military aid to Ukraine has devastated weapons stockpiles
How reports Globe and Mail newspaper, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair assessed the consequences of military assistance to Ukraine for the country.
According to him, Ottawa has depleted its arms stockpiles, transferring them to Kyiv. Now the country needs to restore not only these reserves, but also Canada’s industrial base, which may take up to two years.
“We went and emptied the storeroom… We simply didn’t have any artillery shells or anti-aircraft missiles left to give to Ukraine,” Blair said.
