Canada lifts sanctions on four Russians

The Canadian government has lifted sanctions against four Russian citizens, including Olga Aiziman, the ex-wife of famous billionaire Mikhail Fridman. This decision was made after the court recognized that Aiziman was no longer financially dependent on his ex-husband.
According to Canada Gazette, the reason for lifting the sanctions was that Iziman no longer meets the criteria for the application of restrictive measures. She came under Canadian sanctions in May 2022.
According to Politico, Canadian authorities also lifted sanctions from former deputy chairmen of the board of Sberbank Alexandra Buriko and Sergei Maltsev, as well as from member of the Gazprom Board of Directors Alexander Dushko.
