Canada has imposed new sanctions against Russian individuals and organizations

Canada has imposed sanctions on 24 individuals and 17 entities should from information on the website of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Among the individuals on the list were former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, blogger Yuri Podolyaka, as well as ministers and other officials from the new Russian regions – the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as from Crimea.
The list of organizations subject to restrictions by the Canadian authorities has been replenished with the ministries of culture of the Kherson region and Crimea, the ministry of sports of the Zaporozhye region, and others. Some museums and the media also appeared in the register.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit. There, he also announced the introduction of a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, where he announced restrictions against 24 people and 17 organizations.
In addition, during Trudeau’s visit announced about the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine for a total amount of 500 million Canadian dollars ($375 million). According to him, Canada will also take part in the training of Ukrainian pilots and join the group of countries that help maintain tanks.
