Sheet masks are skin care products that have gained immense popularity in recent years. They’re comfortable and versatile, provide great skincare without too many different products (hello beauty minimalists) and are therefore perfect for those of us who are always in a hurry. Masks awaken, moisturize, relieve irritation, cleanse – and all this in 15-20 minutes. The Koreans made a revolution in this matter, taking a new approach to the presentation of this product, in general, well-known before them. They placed a fabric sheet soaked in active serum in an understandable, bright and convenient package, thereby attracting the attention of an increasing number of followers. K-beauty products are the lightest, easiest to use, and focus more on moisturizing and nourishing the skin than serious anti-aging care. Their French and Japanese counterparts are more complex in composition and expensive counterparts. Whatever mask you choose, there are a few rules to make it work to the maximum: store it in the refrigerator, use it with eye patches, and massage it lightly after applying it. The most advanced users practice a “double portion” and after one mask they immediately make a second one – this is how the effect of smooth, as if photoshopped skin is achieved.
