Bypass instead of ban // Tatyana Edovina on the prospects for trade in developed countries
[ad_1]
Participants in a meeting of finance ministers and central bankers of the G7 countries that ended last week called for considering cross-border transactions in the light of not only economic efficiency, but also “economic sustainability”. This primarily concerns the diversification of supplies, including “clean” energy, for which it is planned to create a partnership of countries advocating “sustainable and inclusive supply chains”. In fact, we are talking about reducing the dependence of developed countries on trade with China and partial reorientation to other developing countries (in particular, Vietnam and Mexico), as well as the search for alternative sources of raw materials (including rare earth metals, where China accounts for more than 60% of the global export).
