Voter turnout in the Russian presidential elections by the end of the second day of voting, as of 21:19 Moscow time, was 58.45%, reported on website Central Election Commission.

The last polling stations closed today, March 16, in the Kaliningrad region at 21:00 Moscow time. Tomorrow will be the last day of voting. For the first time, presidential elections in Russia are held over three days.

Using the remote electronic voting system, 4,181,388 people have already cast their votes, which is 88% of all voters registered in the DEG.

The Central Election Commission registered Vladimir Putin (self-nominated), Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Vladislav Davankov (New People) and Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) as candidates. According to the Central Election Commission, on the first day of voting the turnout was 36.12%.
