The legendary Bvlgari Tubogas jewelry collection has new jewelry with colored gemstones by the end of 2022. The Roman house began using the Tubogas or “gas pipe” technique to produce flexible tubular Serpenti bracelets in precious metal without soldering in the 1940s. But it wasn’t until the 1970s that Bulgari’s emblematic industrial style came to be, when a new generation of wealthy women were looking for pieces that could be worn from morning to night. The most impressive Serpenti bracelets had four or five loops around the wrist, and the combination of steel and yellow gold provided a spectacular color contrast. Now Bvlgari has combined the Tubogas technique with another recognizable element of the house, the cabochon cut. The star of the 2022 capsule line is a rose gold necklace set with five gemstones: amethyst, citrine, peridot, rubellite and blue topaz, each set in pavé diamonds. Its fastening system allows for a perfect fit. The collection also features three rose gold bracelets set with rubellite, blue topaz or cabochon-cut amethyst surrounded by pavé diamonds.
