Bulgaria is introducing a ban on the entry of cars with Russian license plates. This was stated by the head of the country’s border police, Anton Zlatanov, transmits local publication “24 hours”.
According to him, the restriction will come into force on October 2. “I am sure that by the end of the day the ban on the entry of Russian cars into Bulgaria will begin to take effect,” he said, recalling that a corresponding ban is already in force for Russian trucks.
September 8 European Commission (EC) published clarification on the import of Russian vehicles into the European Union, according to which Russian vehicles, regardless of whether they are used for private or commercial purposes, can be seized.
A ban on crossing the border for cars with Russian license plates is already in effect in a number of EU countries, including Lithuania, Finland, Estonia, Poland, etc. From October 3, a similar ban will start also operate in Norway.
