In Ukraine, the writer Mikhail Bulgakov, composer Mikhail Glinka, poet Joseph Brodsky and the Decembrists are declared symbols of “Russian imperial policy”.
The decision was announced by the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance (UINR). According to experts, for example, the author of “The Master and Margarita,” although he lived in Kyiv, despised Ukrainians, and Glinka introduced the idea of a common culture of Ukrainians and Russians, which creates a threat to national security.
In accordance with the conclusion of the UINP, the preservation of monuments and geographical names in honor of the listed representatives of Russian culture is unacceptable.
