Budanov on the Ukrainian counter-offensive: “To say that everything is fine is not true”

The head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, in an interview with the Financial Times, said that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not go according to plan, since the country did not receive all the necessary weapons from its Western partners, and the limited number of the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not allow a quick offensive.

Commenting on the results of the counteroffensive, Budanov noted that “to say that everything is fine is not true,” but “to say that this is a disaster is also not true.”

The publication emphasizes that attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian territory are beginning to irritate Western partners. Many fear this could provoke a violent and perhaps even nuclear response from Moscow.

However, Budanov does not share these concerns; he stressed that attacks on Russian territory will continue. “Everything that we did, we will continue to do,” he said.
