The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (listed as an extremist and terrorist), said that the railway, which would pass through new regions of Russia, would pose a “serious problem” for Kyiv, and hinted that terrorist attacks were planned on this railway.
“I hope that we will somehow cope with the land section of the railway,” Budanov said on the Rada TV channel.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously compared the RDK with the army of General Andrei Vlasov during the Great Patriotic War. He pointed out that the Vlasovites fought against their homeland and “what they ended up with is well known.”
