On the morning of February 3, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on the territory of the Starodubsky municipal district of the Bryansk region, the air defense system repelled the attack, shooting down four missiles, informed Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz.

“Today at 5 am, Ukrainian nationalists launched a missile attack on the territory of the Starodubsky municipal district. The air defense system of the RF Armed Forces repelled the attack. Four missiles were shot down,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a result of the impact, there were no casualties and no damage, operational services are working on the spot, the head of the region added.

On February 1, Bogomaz reported that since the beginning of the special operation, the Bryansk region has undergone more than 270 shellings, killing four people and injuring 22. For the damage caused, as the Bryansk governor said, assistance in the amount of 4.4 million rubles was provided from the local budget.

After the start of the special operation, the Ukrainian military began to regularly shell the border regions of Russia. Currently, the Bryansk region has a “yellow” level of terrorist threat. In addition, a “medium response” regime has been introduced in the region. The decree on this was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 19, 2022.
