Brits shocked by coffee shop owners’ warning about latte prices

Britons are outraged that amid the energy crisis, the cost of a latte could rise five times, writes The Mirror.
According to the owners of coffee houses, in order for the business to survive in the new conditions, they are forced to raise the cost of a cup of latte from 2.9 pounds to 14 (that’s about a thousand rubles).
So, entrepreneurs who own a coffee shop in Kent, told the publication that the contract for the power supply of their institution will expire at the end of the year, and instead of 15 thousand pounds they will have to pay 69 thousand (on an annualized basis).
Readers in the comments are surprised: “14 pounds for a latte? Is this a joke? Turn off the business. No one will go to you for coffee,” Fedupoffalsers wrote.
“How many cups do they plan to sell now. One an hour?” asked MerlinTrotter.
