British PM proposes immediate increase in military aid to Ukraine

Britain calls on Western countries to double military assistance to Ukraine. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak proposes to provide Kyiv with as many arms and ammunition in the coming weeks as was transferred over the entire past year. This is stated in the statement of the head of government published by the office. Sunak should voice it on Saturday in Munich at a security conference.
According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, long-term peace in Ukraine can only be achieved through the strengthening of international law and the creation of new frontiers of long-term security. It is proposed to do this by increasing the supply of Western weapons to the Kivus. At the same time, Sunak calls for providing Ukraine with advanced NATO-standard tools, “which they will need in the future.”
Also, the British Prime Minister intends to draw the attention of the conference participants in Munich to the fact that in this conflict “even more is at stake than security and sovereignty. It’s about the security and sovereignty of every nation.”
Over the past year, Ukraine received a total of £2.3 billion in military aid from the UK, including tanks, armored vehicles and 10,000 anti-tank missiles.
