British Defense Minister Ben Wallace suggested that Ukraine be more grateful to the West for arms supplies. About it Wallace declared on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius, writes The Guardian.
He noted that people would like to see a little gratitude, as Western countries are giving up their own stockpiles of weapons.
In 2022, Wallace traveled to Ukraine to get a list of weapons needed by Kyiv, the journey took 11 hours, says the defense minister. “You know, we are not Amazon,” he told Ukrainian authorities at the time.
The UK has been providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the special operation. In 2022, London announced that it would provide Kyiv with $1.6 billion in military aid. The UK is also training the Ukrainian military – in 2022, the kingdom trained 15,000 Ukrainian military personnel. This summer, training will also begin for Ukrainian pilots as part of a new training program.
