Britain’s foreign secretary asks Sunak not to appoint him head of the defense ministry

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley addressed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak from the rostrum of the Aspen Institute security forum with a request to keep his post.

Earlier, government sources said that Cleverley could be appointed to the post of head of the Department of Defense to replace the outgoing Ben Wallace.

I really want to stay where I am… as foreign minister. This is a job that I love, I consider it important,” said the British Foreign Secretary.
