The price of Brent oil exceeded $87 per barrel amid the Hamas attack on Israel. This is evidenced by trading data on the London ICE exchange.
By 9:44 Moscow time, December Brent futures rose to $87.4 per barrel (+3.33%). Just 10 minutes later the price dropped to $87.23 (+3.13%).
At the same time, November futures for WTI rose in price by 3.52%, to $85.8 per barrel. By 9:54 Moscow time, they had slightly slowed their growth to $85.69.
On the morning of October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas began military operations against Israel. The Israeli Army (IDF) responded by organizing Operation Iron Swords, and the Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war.
