Borrell recalled that the EU does not have a “magic wand” for Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian TV channel Rada, the head of the union’s foreign policy service, Josep Borrell, reminded the Ukrainian authorities that the European Union does not have some kind of “magic wand”, with a wave of which one can get more weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The European official recalled that the EU armed forces are forced to delay the replenishment of their own warehouses, as they are forced to first provide Kyiv with weapons.
“Ukraine needs more… but I don’t have magic. I don’t have a magic wand,” Borrell said.
At the same time, he added that the million ammunition promised to Ukraine by spring could be transferred before the end of 2024.
“By March, about 550-600 thousand shells will be able to be delivered to Kyiv,” he added.
