Borrell called the scale of EU spending on Ukraine
[ad_1]
The European Union spent 22 billion euros on financial and military assistance to Ukraine in 2022. This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
As noted by a European official, the bulk of this money was spent on providing humanitarian, financial and economic assistance to Kyiv. For these purposes, 19 billion euros were allocated from the EU treasury.
Brussels spent the remaining 3 billion euros on military aid to the Kyiv regime. But direct deliveries of weapons, military equipment and ammunition from EU member states are not included in this amount, Borrell stressed. Thus, the real scale of EU assistance to Kyiv is even higher.
