The head of the European Union’s Foreign Service, Josep Borrell, said that the EU authorities are ready to transfer to Ukraine all the shells from the remaining stocks in European warehouses, including 155-mm and 152-mm artillery ammunition. He noted that EU defense ministers have approved the urgent need for supplies and are ready to allocate one billion dollars from the European Peace Fund for this purpose.
The head of EU European diplomacy stressed that these supplies are the first stage, and that the details of the implementation of the agreement will be agreed in the near future.
However, some EU diplomats express fears that this may not bring closer, but move away peace in the region.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the European Union has become one of the largest donors of military assistance to Ukraine after the United States.
