Russian businessman Viktor Bout, released after 14 years in an American prison, in an interview with RT journalist Maria Butina said that Hollywood could make a more interesting film about him.
Booth said that in the States he was often asked about how his image corresponds to that embodied in the film “Lord of War” by actor Nicolas Cage.
“I say: you know, if they came to me and asked, at least somehow, maybe, I would have come up with a more interesting story,” Booth replied.
In general, according to the Russian, the “dream factory” Hollywood has become the propaganda department of the “Washington regional committee”.
Also, in a conversation with Maria Butina, Viktor Bout spoke about whether he had encountered manifestations of Russophobia in an American prison where he spent 14 years. It may seem surprising, but the prisoners treated him and Russia in general with “some kind of sympathy.”
