Bloomberg learned the details of the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia

In the tenth package of sanctions against Russia, the EU may expand restrictions on goods used by the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC). About it informs Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The publication writes that proposals for new measures have not yet been announced, but it is expected that the sanctions will be aimed at expanding restrictions on the drone sector, as well as dual-use goods used by the Russian military-industrial complex. Interlocutors of the agency note that Poland and the Baltic countries intend to achieve tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation.

It is assumed that new restrictions may be adopted in February, a year after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. The restrictions could also affect Belarus “for its role in providing continued support to Russia.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the tenth package of sanctions against Russia on January 17, 2023.
