Bloomberg: Germany’s recognition of a smaller number of tanks for Ukraine speaks of the failure of the West

Bloomberg columnist Arne Delfs argues that Berlin’s admission that Kyiv will receive fewer tanks than promised indicates a failure to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The minister’s recognition marks a setback in the Western allies’ quest to help the Ukrainian army deal with an expected increase in hostilities in the coming weeks.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that, contrary to earlier promises, the alliance would be able to send only half a battalion of more modern Leopard 2 A6 tanks to Ukraine.
