Bloomberg: confrontation between Poland and Germany undermines the supply of Ukraine

A split between Germany and Poland risks undermining joint efforts to supply the Kyiv forces, notes Bloomberg.
As the agency emphasizes in its analytical material, quarrels in Warsaw and Berlin over missiles, tanks and spare parts have reached a new level. At the same time, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky vainly, over and over again, demands from Western partners to hurry with supplies.
The article says that at first Poland accused Germany of not giving the green light to sending Leopard tanks to Ukraine. When German Chancellor Olaf Scholz authorized the delivery, Warsaw now accuses Berlin of not having spare parts for the old models of these tanks that should have been delivered to Kyiv.
“The main responsibility lies with the Federal Republic of Germany, the main producer of these tanks,” Polish President Andrzej Duda said last week. And Poland’s Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak accused Germany of sending Russia billions of dollars for supplies of resources. This was not tolerated in Berlin, and German Ambassador Thomas Bagger responded on his Twitter: “Does the minister know how many billions of zlotys Poland annually transfers to Moscow in exchange for Russian energy?”
Meanwhile, the plan to assemble two full battalions of Leopard 2s for Ukraine is now in jeopardy, as German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius explicitly pointed out.
