Bloomberg: a new package of US sanctions against Russia will affect the military-industrial complex and energy

The administration of US President Joe Biden plans to impose sanctions on the military-industrial complex, the energy sector, Russian financial institutions and several individuals, informed Bloomberg citing sources.
The agency clarifies that also the United States and allies plan to focus on preventing the circumvention of sanctions and “undermining” support for Russia from third countries. The publication recalled that the introduction of restrictions is scheduled for the anniversary of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
February 13 edition of Politico reportedthat EU politicians and experts will begin discussions on the 10th package of sanctions against Russia, which may include restrictions against Russian banks, journalists from state media, employees of administrations in new territories, as well as individuals and companies associated with Wagner PMCs.
February 16 US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland statedthat the United States and the G7 countries plan to impose a new package of sanctions on Russia on February 24th. According to her, the sanctions will also apply to those areas that are already under restrictions. In particular, they will affect the military-industrial complex and the supply of high-tech equipment.
