Blinken: Ukraine itself must determine the end point of the conflict with Russia

The decision on when and under what conditions the conflict in Ukraine will be ended can only be taken by the Ukrainian authorities. This statement was made on Friday, July 14, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
The politician stressed that the decision rests with Ukraine, since “it is about its future, about its people, about its land, about its freedom.”
Blinken assured of the readiness of the United States to support any country that can find a way to move forward towards a verified and lasting solution to the Ukrainian conflict, if this way takes into account the principles of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
At the same time, the Secretary of State again accused Russia of being unprepared for a diplomatic resolution of the conflict and the end of hostilities.
Earlier, the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, expressed his conviction that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict would end as soon as Washington wanted it to. He also called for reflection on why in the United States still did not want peace in Ukraine. According to him, no one received an answer to this question at the NATO summit in Vilnius either.
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov agreed with this opinion, pointing out that Washington could resolve the Ukrainian conflict as soon as possible, however doesn’t want to do it. The Kremlin speaker also called the United States the instigator in supplying new types of weapons to Kyiv.
