The United States is providing Ukraine with more than $1 billion in financial assistance, including $665.5 million in military and civilian aid. This was announced by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

Earlier today Pentagon announced on the allocation of the 46th assistance package to Ukraine in the amount of $175 million. It will include depleted uranium shells for Abrams tanks, ammunition for HIMARS, equipment to support Ukrainian air defense systems, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, etc. According to the Pentagon, the United States allocated More than $43 billion in military aid to Kiev since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
Blinken announced additional financial assistance to Ukraine during a trip to Ukraine. On September 6, he arrived in Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
During a speech at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Blinken declaredthat Washington sees “good progress” in Ukraine’s counter-offensive, and added that it is important for the US that Kiev has everything it needs to carry it out successfully.
