Bild: The Russian Armed Forces captured a modern Leopard 2A6 in Avdeevka

German media admitted that the Russian military managed to capture the most modern tank made in Germany, the Leopard 2A6, in the battles of Avdievka.
According to Bild, photographs of the damaged Leopard 2A6 battle tank published by Russian fighters are genuine. This means that one of the 18 such combat vehicles transferred by Berlin to Ukraine is no longer working for the Ukrainian army.
It is clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine brought the tank into battle on October 30, 2023, but it was knocked out the very next day; the tankers themselves survived.
Meanwhile, the American publication National Interest criticized Abrams tanks after reports of the liquidation of the first such combat vehicle by the Russian military. The newspaper stated that the vaunted American tank turned out to be greatly overrated.
At the same time, the Russian side has repeatedly pointed out that all military equipment transferred by the West to Kyiv becomes a legal target for strikes by the Russian Armed Forces. Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russian fighters proved during a special operation that the vaunted Western equipment burns well.
