Bikkembergs lead by example on how to work with archives

The Bikkembergs brand decided to turn to things from archival collections. This is not a replica of things and not a collection inspired by archival patterns. The line, called “Return to Antwerp”, consists of 53 items from the collections of the 1990s and 2000s, created by the founder of the brand, Dirk Bikkembergs. And now you can buy them again. Creative director Lee Wood explains the launch of the limited line by the fact that things are timeless – they do not need to be updated, they just need to be worn.
The “Return to Antwerp” line includes items important to the brand’s history, such as the 2006 FIFA World Cup t-shirt won by Italy, the Pixel Wave printed cardigan or the pea jackets, which became the basis for the sporty style of the Bikkembergs collections. The entire line is available for sale online only – it can be purchased on the website of the Belgian brand.
