Biden threatened to veto aid to Israel without Ukraine

The press service of the White House Office of Management and Budget released a statement indicating US President Joe Biden’s plans to veto a House Republican bill on additional aid to Israel if Congress approves it without a clause on similar aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, House Speaker Mike Johnson proposed splitting up the vote on the document. He called on congressmen to consider a $17.6 billion aid bill for Israel and hold a vote on Ukraine later.
“President Biden’s administration strongly opposes this ploy, which is a cynical political maneuver,” the office said.
