Biden says the threat of Putin using tactical nuclear weapons is “real”

US President Joe Biden considers the use of tactical nuclear weapons by Russia real. He stated this to a group of donors in the state of California.

“When I was here about two years ago and said that I was worried about the drying up of the Colorado River, everyone looked at me like I was crazy. They looked at me the same way they did when I said I was worried about Putin’s use of tactical nuclear weapons. It’s real”, – leads words of the American President Reuters.

Before that, Biden said that the deployment of Russian tactical weapons on the territory of Belarus is “absolutely irresponsible.”

Russia does not need to use nuclear weapons, but this is theoretically permissible only if the territorial integrity and independence of the state are threatened, declared June 16 at the plenary session SPIEF Russian President Vladimir Putin. He noted that everyone is waiting for Russia to start pushing buttons, but “there is no such need.” At the same time, the Russian authorities have repeatedly spoken out about the inadmissibility of unleashing a nuclear war, noting that in the country’s military doctrine the use of nuclear weapons is possible when the very existence of the country is endangered.

Then Putin toldthat the first Russian nuclear warheads have already been delivered to the territory of Belarus. At the end of May, Russian and Belarusian defense ministers Sergei Shoigu and Viktor Khrenin signed documents defining the procedure for keeping Russian nuclear weapons in a special storage facility on the territory of the republic. On June 9, Putin announced that the deployment of Russian non-strategic nuclear weapons in Belarus would begin after July 7–8, when the preparation of the corresponding facilities was completed.
