Biden doubted that the rocket that fell in Poland was fired from Russia

Preliminary data indicate that the rocket that fell in Poland was not fired from Russia. This statement was made by US President Joe Biden.

“There is preliminary information that disputes this. I don’t want to say this until we investigate everything, ”Biden said (quote according to TASS).

He explained that, judging by the trajectory of the missile, it was “unlikely” that it was fired from Russian territory. “But we will see,” the American president added.

Associated Press (AP), citing three US officials claimsthat the missile was fired by Ukrainian troops to shoot down a Russian projectile. At the same time, the day before, on November 15, AP, referring to a representative of American intelligence, wrote that the missiles that fell in Poland were allegedly Russian.

Earlier today, CNN also informedthat NATO aircraft tracked the missile’s trajectory. The North Atlantic Alliance clarified that the data had already been provided to NATO and Poland. At the same time, the interlocutor of the channel did not specify the point of launch of the rocket.

On November 15, Polish media reported that in the country fell two rockets, killing two people. Against the backdrop of these events, the Polish authorities called an urgent meeting of the national security committee. It was noted that the explosions occurred in the village of Pszewodow in eastern Poland, their cause was not officially named.

At the same time, the Pentagon reportedthat they do not have data that would confirm the Russian origin of the missiles. In the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation refuted Polish media reports about the fall of Russian missiles. The agency called the publications a “deliberate provocation” and stated that Russia did not strike near the Ukrainian-Polish state border.
