The high (“yellow”) level of terrorist security was extended in the Belgorod region, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
The “yellow” level of terrorist threat has been extended for another 2 weeks. And it is valid on the territory of the Belgorod region until January 20, ”he wrote.
On December 30, Gladkov, on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, said that since the beginning of the shelling of the Belgorod region, 22 residents of the region had been killed, another 100 were injured. Gladkov added that more than 1,600 apartments and residential buildings were partially or completely destroyed due to shelling. In 15 settlements, there were practically no residents left, about 7,000 people were evacuated, the head of the region noted.
On October 19, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were under shelling from Ukraine).
