Belarus will determine the algorithm for the use of nuclear weapons

Belarus will develop an algorithm for the use of Russian tactical nuclear weapons (TNW). President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko spoke about this at a meeting with journalists and political scientists.
“To him [начальнику Генштаба], the minister and the chairman of the KGB were tasked with determining the algorithm for the use of these weapons. Its basis should be that we must use it in a difficult moment, if we are attacked. This means that they will attack, as they have already begun to say in Russia, the Union State, ” told Lukashenka (quote from BelTA).
Commenting on statements that Belarus would not be able to use tactical nuclear weapons, Lukashenka said that he “does not need rubbish here.”
“But that’s not the point. Let’s assume (it’s only acceptable), we can apply it in agreement with Russia. Here are these idle arguments: they use us and so on – it’s all garbage. This is not and cannot be. This is our weapon, and we will use it,” Lukashenka stressed.
Earlier, the President of Belarus said that the idea of deploying tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the country was his. According to Lukashenka, he can approve the use of weapons with one call to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
On June 27, Lukashenka announced that most of the tactical nuclear weapons had already been delivered to Belarus. He noted that Russians and Belarusians would be in charge of his protection, and Wagner PMC would not participate in this process.
Earlier, Putin said that the deployment of weapons will begin after July 7-8, when the preparation of the relevant structures is completed. On June 23, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov clarified that Russia does not plan to publish information on the number of nuclear weapons deployed in Belarus.
At the end of May, Russian and Belarusian defense ministers Sergei Shoigu and Viktor Khrenin signed documents defining the procedure for keeping Russian nuclear weapons in a special storage facility on the territory of the republic. Shoigu explained the need for such a step by the activity of NATO’s joint nuclear missions, including the training of pilots of non-nuclear countries of the alliance in the use of American nuclear bombs stored in Europe.
